I worked for months, working 12- hour days sanding floors and tearing down wallpaper with one child strapped on my back, and others climbing inside the playpen. Ha! Ha! It all started to seem logical, however it wasn't quite completed. In this undertaking, I was prepared to invest a significant amount of time and money shopping for my dream home. To stay on budget I began going to estate sales along with my three sons to find jewels in the rough. It was our weekly routine to walk around garage sales and auctions on Saturday and Sunday, and buy a variety of old pieces and new made. I'd spend my workdays on the drive either painting or sanding. It was kind of similar to this... Here is the place where my passion for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. Once our home was furnished, I still couldn't quit! On the streets, I rented a small area and then sold a few items. I eventually had numerous pieces that I did not think of a solution and I outgrew my space. My house was transformed into a space that I hosted open houses, where up to 1000 visitors could see the items on the first floor, and then purchase them. Growing Days was created in the home. Not only was my business thriving but I was growing my sweet family too. I was trying to find that perfect balance of having starting a business as well as a mother too. Growing Days just seemed to work. Nora came into our lives in 2013 as our 4th baby. I was thrilled with where my company was heading but I needed a break. I decided to slow down to spend time at home, with my kids. It was exactly the thing I needed. However after a few months after that, the phone began to call. I was getting calls from people needing help with the interior decoration and renovations. A majority of those calling me were people who had came to my house at one of my furniture open houses. It wasn't long before I was managing a full-scale business for home improvement. I began by taking clients on one with a speed I felt comfortable with. When you first spoke to me about my home renovation business I laughed. Even now, when I think about the circumstances, I find myself laughing.
