Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on October 28, 1967, in Atlanta. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer who was also the first Roberts to move to Atlanta. Her father was keen interest from a young age in theater. In 1952, while studying at Emory University, he performed in several productions in Atlanta. While in Biloxi in Mississippi, he got part of a military unit in a production with Betty Lou Bredemus. The couple got married in 1955. Their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. In 1957 the couple left the air force and Walter was enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. In 1960, the family relocated in Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The year 1964 was when Walter as well as Betty Lou began production on a local Saturday morning children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they designed and funded. They also founded the Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year. The workshop was in operation for six years. They had two more children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
